The Beginning    The Immediate Past    The Past    The Immediate Future    The Present

Dispatches from the three of clubs:

18 December 2006 - TV Shows That Should Be On DVD Already:
Sin City Spectacular (1998-1999) - Another series that I never got to see -- because my cable company didn't carry FX the one season that it aired -- Sin City was hosted by Penn & Teller, who sought to bring back the tradition of the television variety show, like the kind Ed Sullivan hosted, but with more carnival sideshow-type acts. Penn & Teller introduced the acts and also performed some of their own, which makes this essential viewing for any fan. (Of course, a well-shot film of one of their live performances would also do in this regard.)

19 December 2006 - Bah. Forgot to upload the strip yesterday, so today I'm doubling your pleasure. Humbug. Joseph Barbera died yesterday at the age of 95. This has not been a good year for the creative team behind the original Space Ghost. (Of course, Barbera -- along with William Hanna -- was also responsible for more well-known shows like The Flintsones, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Scooby Doo and a myriad other characters who have been clients on Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law.)

20 December 2006 - Well, that's all she wrote. As of today, I am no longer a Tower employee. It's a very freeing feeling.

21 December 2006 - Hey, here's something you don't see every day: Thomas Dolby performing live in concert. Now you know where I'm going to be tonight.

22 December 2006 - Opening today: Rocky Balboa, the first film Sylvester Stallone has been allowed to write, direct and star in since 1985's Rocky IV. Another triple threat in pre-production for 2008: Rambo IV: Pearl of the Cobra. But first he has a film biography of Edgar Allan Poe to get through. I excrete you not.
