Dispatches from the Safety Dance:
4 August 2003 - Quote of the Week: "No person shall be compelled to be a witness to himself excepting his hands, nor shall any person be compelled to witness his hands a second time after having done so. Without exception, the people shall have the right to put themselves in jeopardy, at their own discretion, by taking a chance." --Amendment VIII of Kevin Pease's quite wacky Bill of Safety (Yeah, yeah, I know. I thought I was finished with him last week, but the bugger keeps coming up with clever stuff.)
6 August 2003 - Well, I'm off on a great adventure today -- to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ! (And if the weather's anything like it has been the past few days, it's going to be rainy, hot and sticky. Great!) Coincidentally, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are off on a great adventure today as they swap bodies thanks to magical fortune cookies in the bazillionth remake of Freaky Friday! (Actually, this is only the second official remake of the 1976 original, but after the body-swapping craze of the late '80s, haven't we seen this enough times?)
8 August 2003 - Well, it took a day for the aches and pains to assert themselves, but I did manage to slather on enough sunscreen to avoid getting burned on Wednesday. Still, if you're planning a trip to Great Adventure, I would recommend that you skip Viper (unless, of course, you're a fan of neck injuries).
