Dispatches from the Frank O. File:
14 July 2003 - Quote of the Week: "In honor of our guests, I made an all-French dinner -- French bread, French fries, and to drink...Peru!" --John Cusack's clueless mom in Better Off Dead
16 July 2003 - How cool is this? What's Up, Tiger Lily? -- Woody Allen's first quasi-feature film -- is now out on DVD. I've been waiting for this for years. Now all they need to do is put out What's New, Pussycat? and Casino Royale-- Okay, maybe they can skip Casino Royale.
18 July 2003 - Bad Boys, Bad Boys -- whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when they make a II? Well, I don't know about y'all, but I'm gonna stay the hell away.
By the way, earlier this week I saw the excellent 28 Days Later, which I am pleased to report is not the sequel to the Sandra Bullock rehab drama 28 Days. Rather, it is the best zombie flick to come down the pike since, well, I don't know what. It's been a while.
CORRECTION: Regarding Wednesday's dispatch, I have belatedly come to the realization that Casino Royale is already available on DVD -- and has been for nine months now. Just goes to show how memorable it is.
