June 2003 - Quote of the Week: "Maybe you'll be president / But know right from wrong." --Radiohead, "Sail to the Moon," Hail to the Thief
I know it seems a little late to be jumping on the Radiohead bandwagon, but damn, those guys give good record. Over the past week I have procured all of their studio albums save for Pablo Honey, and I'm getting that one today. At least I can find consolation in the fact that Radiohead only has six albums to worry about, not the couple dozen I was confronted with when I first became enamoured of the Residents a few years back.
June 2003 - Ended up not getting Pablo Honey yesterday. I'm such a creep.
June 2003 - Got Pablo Honey yesterday instead. I'm such a weirdo.
June 2003 - 'Ere, what the hell am I doing? It's not like I belong or anything.
June 2003 - Okay, enough with the Radiohead. Besides, there are movies to lambaste! No sequels this week, but there is another disturbing trend to comment on. What's with all the "She's A Girl" movies all of a sudden? First there was Whale Rider, the trailer for which I've seen three times in the past month at my local art house. Now there's The Legend of Suriyothai, which is apparently the most lavish film ever made in Thailand, but it's still a "She's A Girl" movie. I don't mean to come off as chauvinistic, but puh-leeze.
