Dispatches from the Frogstar:
12 May 2003 - Quote of the Week: "The moon is much larger than it appears to be. This is worth remembering because the next time you are looking at the moon you can say in a deep and mysterious voice, 'The moon is much larger than it appears to be,' and people will know that you are a wise person who has thought about this a lot." --Douglas Adams, "For Children Only," The Salmon of Doubt
Two years ago yesterday we lost Douglas Adams to a fatal heart attack. Every once in a while I need to remind myself that he's gone. It still doesn't quite seem possible.
14 May 2003 - Ribbit.
16 May 2003 - Bleah. I was going to do a Matrix Reloaded joke in yesterday's dispatch (something about the Wachowski brothers being up to their May Tricks again because, er, it's May, and, well...), but frankly I just don't have the brainwave energy to be spontaneously witty after standing on my feet for eight hours at my one job and then running lights for a crappy play at my other (thankfully, temporary) job. But that's all over on Sunday (the crappy play, not the standing on my feet for eight hours). The question is, will I make it?
