The Beginning    The Immediate Past    The Past    The Immediate Future    The Present

Dispatches from some Block Rockin' Beets:

31 March 2003 - Quote of the Week: "Somewhere in a government building, the future pays the price." --Art & Artie Barnes, circa 1987

1 April 2003 - This April Fool's Day, I decided to do something daring, something unexpected, something unprecedented -- I did my own comic strip. Soak it up, people.

P.S. - I realize it's a year old now, but you can still check out The Olive, which appeared here last year and is still remarkably relevant.

2 April 2003 - When you die we say goodbye. Just learned that Michael Jeter, who first came to my attention as the homeless cabaret singer who belts out "Everything's Coming Up Videos" in The Fisher King, died over the weekend. He also played "drug expert" L. Ron Bumquist in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and was in last year's heist comedy Welcome to Collinwood, which I saw the trailer for many, many times. Godspeed, Mr. Jeter.

3 April 2003 - And it's good. It's real good.

4 April 2003 - Yeah.
