Dispatches from the Natural Aerobed Spacefill Accumulator:
3 February 2003 - Quote of the Week: "Shocks are so much better absorbed with the knees bent." --The Lord Summerisle
For the record, I saw 1973's The Wicker Man for the first time last Thursday and chose the above quote well before I heard about Saturday's space shuttle tragedy. This isn't the first time this sort of thing has happened, either.
4 February 2003 - How's this for a shock? Dada's been around for an entire year. Well, I was shocked.
6 February 2003 - Yes, Waitangi Day. This day commemorates the signing of a treaty on February 6, 1840, by a group of Maori chiefs and the British Government. First celebrated in 1934, it was made a public holiday and renamed New Zealand Day in 1974, but then was changed back to Waitangi Day in 1976. Why? Because it's a cooler name.
7 February 2003 - I'll bet 5 February 2003 is really feeling left out right now. Only day without a dispatch this week. Man, that must sting.
