Dispatches from the Society of Creative Acupunturists:
16 December 2002 - Quote of the Week: "What I have learned about filmmaking through this is no matter now clever you are, if you take a monster truck and run over a toy truck with it, you'll get a huge laugh every time." --Ted Griffin, screenwriter for Ocean's Eleven, on the commentary track which he shares with director Steven Soderbergh
18 December 2002 - A talking beer bottle opener. They have made a talking beer bottle opener. When you open a beer bottle with it, it says, "Oh, yeah! Time for a beer!" in a loud, manly voice. Finally, I know what I want for Christmas!
20 December 2002 - 12:31 a.m. - "There are no answers, only choices." This update is slightly late because I chose to see the last showing of Solaris in my area. I've only seen three films twice in the theaters this year -- The Powerpuff Girls Movie, Femme Fatale and now Solaris. That's a pretty varied selection, wouldn't you say? I'm eating ice cream right now. It's delicious. Today in work I pretended to be British for most of they day; it was fun. I'll have to do that again. I've had a cold for most of the week. I think I'm done now.
