Dispatches from one bad mothertrucker:
14 October 2002 - Quote of the Week: "It may be the best thing he's written, but it's still bloody dishonest." --Emma, in Harold Pinter's Betrayal
Incidentally, last Thursday was Pinter's 72nd birthday, but I was too busy watching movies like Trees, The Slime People and Cyber Ninja to notice. I hope this makes up for it.
P.S. - I survived.
15 October 2002 - Man, where's my head? Last Thursday was also the fifth wedding anniversary of Anthony and Jen La Rocca, two good friends of mine who live in Flushing, Queens. Happy belated anniversary, guys. I hate to imagine what else I've forgotten.
16 October 2002 - Oh, no. I just checked online and last Thursday was also National Depression Screening Day. This is really bringing me down, man. I've got to stop beating myself up like this before I contemplate something drastic.
17 October 2002 - Darn it all. With all of this fuss about last Thursday, I completely glossed over the fact that yesterday, October 16, was Boss's Day. Of course, I don't actually have a boss to speak of, which gives me a great excuse. What's yours?
18 October 2002 - If I may, I would like to take some time out from chastising myself to inform you that I have added my 50th User Comment to the Internet Movie Database. Cyber Ninja is the one that put me over the top, but I invite you to check out some of my other comments first. Most of them, after all, are for good -- if just as obscure -- films.
