13 September 2002 - Okay, so I've been reading Roger Ebert's book I Hated, Hated, Hated This Movie this week, and in it he includes his reviews of Deep Rising and Mercury Rising, both of which were released in 1998. That was also the same year that Deep Impact was released, which at the time lead me to speculate that the Ford Motor Company would be unveiling the Mercury Impact before the year was out. Sadly, this did not come to pass. Also sadly, I just tried to pass off a joke that is four years past its sell-by date as fresh and original. That is why I fail.
